Dr. Krad is a board-certified ophthalmologist who combines advanced technology, surgical expertise, and a compassionate approach to help patients see their best. He is a highly skilled cataract and refractive surgeon known for his precision, technical mastery, and warm, patient-centered care. His love for people and fascination with the human eye are what led him to a career dedicated to restoring and protecting vision. Today, he regularly helps restore sight for patients from all around the world, including physicians, surgeons, and fellow ophthalmologists who entrust him with their care. Above all, he is a family man, grateful for his beautiful wife and their three amazing children.

Dr. Krad graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Chemistry. He went on to earn his medical degree from Loyola’s Stritch School of Medicine, where he consistently received honors during his surgical training. After completing his internship at Northwestern University’s Evanston Hospital, he returned to Loyola University Medical Center and Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital for his ophthalmology residency. There, Dr. Krad received extensive training in medical, laser, and surgical treatments for a variety of eye diseases, including cataracts, lens replacement, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration, and eyelid surgery.

Dr. Krad is Board-Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an expert in Cataract Surgery, Lens Exchange Surgery, laser refractive surgery such as LASIK, SMILE, and PRK, EVO ICL implantation, and Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS). He has successfully performed thousands of complex eye surgeries, offering patients custom-tailored care with the most advanced technology available. He always ensures the highest standards of safety, quality, and effectiveness of the laser and surgical treatments performed under his care. His goal is to combine the safest and most effective technology with a personal touch, so every patient feels cared for like family.

Dr. Krad’s friendly Midwestern personality and international awareness has led him to volunteer in multiple medical and surgical missions abroad, including the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Fiji, and the Middle East. His active lifestyle, love for nature, and passion for being outdoors is what brought him to California. He enjoys basketball, running, cycling, surfing, and swimming. He is also a licensed pilot and speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic.
